My work seeks to quantitatively understand how these interactions produce what is preserved in the geological record.  I am currently working on several projects related to understanding the long-term evolution of Earth's surface. My principal project is an ARC funded DECRA Fellowship

Jun Zhang
Jun Zhang 2.jpeg

My research focuses on reconstructing sedimentary basin evolution and sediment provenance using detrital multi-mineral analysis (including zircon, rutile, and quartz). Based on these sedimentary records, I aim to constrain the paleogeographic frameworks and tectonic evolution of Precambrian supercontinents.

Jun is a PhD student from China University of Geosciences School of Earth Sciences
